Education and capacity building are critical steps for entering into the new global techno-culture environment. Our Preparatory Learning Centers consist of a community where individual talents are shared and developed in a non-competitive atmosphere. We offer a wide range of print-ready educational materials that can be used with groups and in classes to provide information, promote critical thinking, and spark discussion. Inclusive, are age-appropriate learning books and story books for children; many of whom have never owned a book before - learning to read will not only be fun, but they will now be able to share their joy for reading while improving their communication skills.

ACADEMICS is crucial even more so in situations of post-war. It is important to carry on educating children and young people, no matter how difficult the circumstances. Education promotes their psychosocial and physical well-being. Our staff is qualified to impart vital survival information on issues such as personal safety and health related topics. Of an estimated population of 4.4 million of which there's an illiteracy rate of 60 percent, many children fall short of the potential to get out of poverty. The war took away access to education, adequate funding, transport, and not having enough qualified teachers. Instructions as well lack the necessary skills/materials to teach. Children need to learn the skills of negotiation, problem solving, critical thinking and communication that will enable them to resolve conflicts without resorting to violence. There is no doubt these students can become our future leaders and effectively conduct themselves in a global society. We must educate All today by giving everyone an opportunity for SUCCESS.
SCHOLORSHIP PROGRAM!
Students eligible are 8th through 10th graders maintaining a 'B' average or higher. They will travel to other countries to participate in a stringent three month educational program at one of our participating institutions as well as participate in community events designed to motivate and encourage. A succeess in academics can translate to a successful life.
SPECIAL NEEDS FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE -
The term disability includes children with an intellectual disability, physical disability, vision impairment, hearing impairment, language disorder and or mental health conditions.
Children with 'disabilities', have diverse learning needs. Parents or Caregivers are to discuss these concern with staff members so that we can prepare accordingly.
MOVING TOWARDS SYSTEM CHANGE
Breaking the poverty cycle for children, particularly girls--gender inequality in education is extremely difficult for girls mostly due to traditional beliefs in a lot of third world countries. Girls are less likely go to school much less remain in school and instead, are to remain in the homes. Education must NOT be impartial nor discriminatory to either male or female--they all have an opportunity to claim their educational rights, and thereby realizing their potential to become leaders in the economic and social environment. Education is single most powerful way to lift people out of poverty.
LITTLE RESOLUTIONS -
Our students come from various back- grounds, towns and rural areas that have not been in a school setting at all. Many have grown up amid economic insecurity and have had to face many obstacles - parents also lacking in education, live in poor health conditions, lacking in activities that would help enrich their lives, live in violent/abusive homes and having no access to medical resources.
Most times, living under such condition, can directly impede one's learning process. We not only take this into account, but also recognize that children develop at different rates and learn skills in different ways. With this anticipation, we have been receptive to modifying lesson plans by implementing a creative design curriculum that makes allowances and consideration to skill or specific needs that a student(s) brings to school.
It is our Center's task to respond to these needs, learning styles and rate of progress of our students - it's imperative to be flexible in order to make learning accessible to all children.
